Grim has run him close though!
This prestigious award isn't given lightly you know, nor is it
awarded to any tom dick or harry who happens to have a different
opinion from you (or me for that matter) - it is given for outright
oafishness, idiocy and in general just being a twat of the highest
order, none of these descriptions fit Grim
I will take your council. But he has been a bit absurd today IMO. I
must admit he has left me a bit non plussed.
The word is 'nonplussed', and I used to have 'chats' with someone for many
years, 'Bitzchick' - I don't think you'd remember her, but she was
infuriating at times - I used to have debates with her that often went on
for weeks, and she never, ever gave in, often twisting the debate around to
suit her own agenda and I'd wrestle it back to the point, over and over
again.
Hardly anyone would talk to her because she was a bit acidic, and most
people are put off at the first cutting comment, but I persevered with her
for years and gradually moulded her into a better person, or at least a
beter communicator - you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, although
why anyone would waste either for flies is a mystery.
